LabsLand, finalist of the BBK Venture Philanthropy programme for impact startups

We are very happy to announce that BBK Venture Philanthropy has chosen LabsLand to be one of the four projects of this year. BBK Venture Philanthropy is the programme organised by BBK to promote entrepreneurship and impact investment in Bizkaia.

As part of this select group of startups, we move on to the final phase, where we begin a period of acceleration and strategic support aimed at boosting growth and enhancing the social and environmental impact of the company. We will also be eligible for funding from the programme’s Venture Philanthropy fund, which consists of €100,000 in total to which the four companies will opt.

BBK Venture Philanthropy programme

The BBK Venture Philanthropy programme seeks to promote entrepreneurship with a social and environmental impact in Bizkaia and is developed by BBK together with Ship2B. During the programme, the 4 most promising finalists are selected, which must be social and environmental impact projects with a profitable and self-sustainable business model, based on an innovative idea and which seek and have potential for high impact through scalability.

The selected projects will participate in the four-month acceleration process, where they will be able to access world-class mentors, establish partnerships with relevant companies and organisations, improve their business processes and impact orientation, and access funding, both from the Venture Philanthropy fund and, in the future, the possibility of accessing additional funds.

The other startups finalist

Apart from LabsLand, three other impact companies have been selected as finalists to participate in this last phase of the programme.

Insekt Label

The startup Insekt Label is an insecticide project that seeks to apply advances in this area to human food.

The Good Riders
