Prepare and observe plant tissue samples with a virtual microscope developed for UNED Costa Rica.

Choose between General Botany and Agricultural Botany, prepare the slide, and inspect real microscope images at 4x, 10x, 40x and 100x.

  • Practice handling the slide and placing it on the microscope stage.
  • Adjust focus, illumination and objective magnification.
  • Compare plant structures such as roots, stems, leaves, cones, seeds, spores and reproductive organs.
