We are proud to announce that Dr. Carlos Arguedas, Fiorella Lizano, Eric Montero, María Paula Obando, and Daniel Elizondo, from the Laboratorio de Experimentación Remota (LER), which is the Remote Experimentation Laboratory, at Universidad Estatal a Distancia, Costa Rica, is the recipient of the 2023 LabsLand Award for Educational Innovation with Remote Laboratories.

Dr. Arguedas and his team have been instrumental in the development of asynchronous laboratories for the teaching of physics and chemistry in both secondary education and university settings. Their innovative approach to remote laboratory design has significantly enhanced the educational landscape, providing students with unparalleled access to scientific experimentation.
